BIBD (or Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam Berhad) is Brunei's largest bank. It was established in 2005 after the merger of two financial institutions, but its history goes back to 1981. It now has over 700 staff and 14 branches across Brunei's four districts. In addition it operates 30 ATMs. BIBD offers Islamic banking services to individual customers, businesses and institutions. Their products include current accounts, savings accounts, foreign currency accounts, financing, term deposits, and other investments.
